Parking for the School of Medicine, like parking for other schools at the university, will move to the perimeter of the campus, outside the Campus Drive loop. For the School of Medicine, this means that most parking will move to the Stock Farm Road or the Jordan Quad surface parking lots or one of the above grade parking structure. Parking also will be available in the underground parking structure in front of the main hospital.

When does the parking lot get removed?
Regular faculty and staff parking will be removed beginning April 2007. Programmed parking, such as disabled, short-term and metered parking, will be maintained on the site of the south parking lot throughout construction. When the Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge and CE projects are complete, programmed parking will be re-located to a new, restricted parking area in front of the Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge and to the Quarry Road Extension Parking lot east of the Alway and Grant buildings.

What is the tunnel clearance project?
In order to facilitate receiving and delivery to the School of Medicine through the tunnel system, all of the equipment and file cabinets currently in the tunnels must be cleared out, disposed of and/or relocated. The tunnels must be cleared by September 2007.
