Utilities Relocation Project
A major utilities relocation project will support the creation
of the new medical school campus. Virtually all of the school’s
primary utilities currently run through the large parking lot south
of Beckman, CCSR, and MSOB and along Governor’s Lane. Phase
0 and 1A of the Connective Elements project, targeted to begin
in March 2007, is comprised of relocation plans for each of the
primary utilities — steam, chilled water, site electrical,
communications, storm drain, domestic water, and sanitary sewer.
In concert with Stanford University Hospital and the Lucille Packard
Children’s Hospital, the School of Medicine is planning to
relocate the utilities in the context of a long-range master plan
for the entire medical center.
